The last couple of weeks have been filled with fun and learning.

We finished up our studies of whales and ocean life.

For Presidents' Day, we read about our nation's presidents, from George Washington to Barack Obama!

We also finger-painted trees of cherry blossoms, in memory of the folklore that Washington cut down his father's cherry tree, and then later admitted it, because he was so darn honest!

In Healthy Snack Group, we made some terrific trail mix, with nuts, raisins, chocolate chips, banana chips, and popcorn.  It is sure to be a hit on your next camping trip!

Last week we celebrated the birthday of Dr. Seuss!

We enjoyed a few of his books, and of course we whipped up our own authentic batch of green eggs and ham, in Healthy Snack Group!

We made photo-holders, for the students to see their smiling faces, inside an appetizing green egg!

The daily papers are always delivered with a smile!

Our class has been enjoying a new set of laptops, that make it a blast to read electronic books, with full audio accompaniment!

And we always look forward to a good jam session in Music Class!
