As Thanksgiving draws near, we have been learning about the history of the holiday!

The classroom has come alive with the Pilgrims, the Native Americans, the Mayflower, and a great feast!

In Healthy Snack Group, we have been mixing it up!

We made Trail Mix that would be great while hiking outside sometime!

 We got to play catch (and fetch) with Buddy, the friendliest therapy dog!

 Music Class is always a highlight of the day!

Some students enjoy a good workout in the weight room!

Just a reminder that there is no school this Friday (November 11th), for the Veterans' Day holiday!



We have been learning about the men and women who serve for our country, and how they keep us safe!

The School's foyer is covered with the names and details of veterans that we know, in our families and communities!

Our Smartboard vocabulary game ("Vocab Hot Shot"), involves throwing a soft ball at the board, and then reading the words that are hidden behind the targets.  We have been learning words related to Veterans' Day, as well as Science terms. 

In Healthy Snack Group, we all pitch in to make a tasty treat.

Today we made yogurt parfait!

Music Class is always a lot of fun, as we learn and practice different songs and dances!

Just a reminder that on Friday, the School will host its annual craft sale!  Students may bring in money Thursday or Friday, if they wish to shop at the sale during the day, which will be held in the cafeteria.  On Saturday the sale will be open to the public, and anyone can stop by.  Items include holiday ornaments that the students have made in Ceramics, and projects that students have built in Woodworking.

This past Monday was Halloween, of course, and that means that many students chose to come to school in costumes!  Some chose to enjoy the afternoon's festivities, including a showing of School of Terror, classroom trick-or-treating, and a student-run haunted house!

Our classroom Science activities have including Sink-or-Float Experiments, which the students have gotten a kick out of.  They even made tinfoil boats, which floated in the tub of water.  Paperclips were then added to see whose boat could hold the most, before sinking!

We have been very busy with fun and exciting projects and activities!

We have also been enjoying occasional visits from Buddy Dog!  He is the friendliest therapy dog on the block.  When we see him, we practice playing catch with him, plus we walk him around the classroom, and tell him to sit and lay down.
