Just a reminder that on Friday, the School will host its annual craft sale!  Students may bring in money Thursday or Friday, if they wish to shop at the sale during the day, which will be held in the cafeteria.  On Saturday the sale will be open to the public, and anyone can stop by.  Items include holiday ornaments that the students have made in Ceramics, and projects that students have built in Woodworking.

We hope to see you there!



This past Monday was Halloween, of course, and that means that many students chose to come to school in costumes!  Some chose to enjoy the afternoon's festivities, including a showing of School of Terror, classroom trick-or-treating, and a student-run haunted house!

Our classroom Science activities have including Sink-or-Float Experiments, which the students have gotten a kick out of.  They even made tinfoil boats, which floated in the tub of water.  Paperclips were then added to see whose boat could hold the most, before sinking!

We have been very busy with fun and exciting projects and activities!

Anah recently celebrated her birthday with us!

We have also been enjoying occasional visits from Buddy Dog!  He is the friendliest therapy dog on the block.  When we see him, we practice playing catch with him, plus we walk him around the classroom, and tell him to sit and lay down. 

This week we visited Gro-Moore Farms and had a blast!  We saw and talked about the vegetables grown there, and the animals raised there.  We also enjoyed a straw maze, a fun house, and a tractor ride!  This field trip was just as much fun as the last one, when we visited the local fire station!

We are excited to kick off our new classroom blog! 

This week we are starting to study the Water Cycle!

We will continue to study the New York State Community and Community Helpers around us as we plan our visit to the Firehouse this Friday!

We look forward to meeting the families at Open House, and working together to keep open communication on the blog.
