Two weeks have flown by since Spring Recess!

We hope everyone had a wonderful vacation.

Back in the classroom, we are studying things that grow.

We raised our own classroom butterflies, which started out as caterpillars!

We also did an experiment, to see what would happen if we put fresh flowers into colored water.

Soon, the flowers drank the colored water, and it changed the color of their petals!

We also painted a giant tree for the hallway!

Soon the tree was crawling with life, including squirrels, birds, tree frogs, and lizards.

Healthy Snack Group is always preparing something new, like cucumber dipped into hummus with fresh veggies!

We also created a fresh fruit salsa, that we ate with cinnamon tortilla chips!

Our class enjoyed participating in the School's afternoon basketball game, and cheerleading!

 We also had fun on a recent field trip to the Harley School!

While many students went to work out in the Harley School's garden, some enjoyed the art room, working with clay and painting with watercolors.

Also, congratulations to Chaya for getting her Junior Blackbelt!  We got to watch the ceremony on the Smartboard!

Time has flown by!  Can you believe it is April already?  

Highlights of the last few weeks included a festive St. Patrick's Day, which featured a performance of Irish dancers in the school!  

We also took a field trip to an incredible garden show at the Dome Arena!  

We are studying plants and living things.  We have started our own windowsill garden in the classroom!

There are online money games that we always enjoy, as we practice our purchasing.

All students got trophies from the Pool Staff, in congratulations of their progress in learning various swimming techniques!

 This past week was wrapped up with a dance in the gym, featuring a live jazz concert!

We will continue to study plant growth and we look forward to picking leaves of fresh basil soon!
